The hypocrisy of George W. Bush continues.
On the eve of this week's Asia trip, Bush blasted the Democrats' criticism of Bush's handling of the Iraqi War:
"They're playing politics with this issue and they are sending mixed signals to our troops and the enemy. That is irresponsible."
But back in July of 2001, Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle criticized Bush's handling of foreign policy on the eve of a presidential trip to Europe. How did the White House respond?
White House spokesman Scott McClellan called Daschle's comments "a disappointing departure from the longstanding bipartisan tradition of the Senate majority leader when it comes to American foreign policy, particularly on the eve of a major international trip."
In other words, Bush can criticize the Democrats while he is abroad, but they can't criticize him.
